Each Nameplay puzzle is a single-panel cartoon drawing showing a keynote speaker at
a lectern giving a talk on their particular topic of expertise. The speaker’s surname is
shown on the front of the lectern, but their first name as been removed and replaced
with a question mark.
The objective of each puzzle is to figure out the keynote speaker’s first name using the
surname and clues in the drawing while bearing in mind the full name is a play on words
related to the speaker’s topic. Phonetics play a big part - it helps to say the full name
aloud if you think you have come up with the correct first name.
