JUMBLED NUMBERS is a cartoon puzzle in which numbers are substituted for alphabet letters. For example A=1. B=2., C=3 etc. The object of the puzzle is to find the alphabetic equivalents for all the numbers shown.
It will then be seen that some numbers/letters are not present. It is these letters that form a mystery word related to the cartoon topic.
Al Benge wears two hats when it comes to creating puzzles. He calls upon his journalistic background to use words in different ways, then utilises his design and cartooning abilities as another skill to create a whole range of amusing puzzles.
"People always love a fun puzzle to solve," says Al. "It's satisfying both for the artist, creator, and also most importantly for the person who solves it."
ACROSTIC FUN is one of these - a simple crossword-themed puzzle with a grid plus picture clues to fill in. When the puzzle is solved correctly, a mystery word related to the puzzle topic appears in the downward column.
Among the many types of puzzles that Al creates are the traditional SPOT THE DIFFERENCE in various formats. He draws MAZES and creates basic TRIVIA QUIZZES for children. Word puzzles include WORD TRAILS, TELEPHONE CODE PUZZLES and GUESS THE PHRASES. There are puzzles for special occasions such as Easter, Christmas and other holidays.
JUMBLED WORDS, COLOUR-INS, COUNT THE HIDDEN OBJECTS and JOIN THE DOTS are also some of the puzzles produced by this creator.
