John Stevens is a Software Engineer doing consulting work for a number of technically oriented companies in Adelaide. He developed the Crossword Express family of software products which he has been marketing on his Internet web site at www.crAUSwords.com for almost sixteen years.

Important aspects of this work were the creation of a Quiz dictionary which enables Crossword Express to create the CROSSWORD QUIZ puzzles, and the development of a series of Java applets which permit these puzzles to be published interactively on the Internet.

Crossword Express is a growing product which already includes word puzzle types other than simple crosswords, and many further innovations are planned for the future.
