Pic Puzzles Vertical by Mark Guthrie

Mark Guthrie was brought up on a dairy farm in country Victoria. His time was spent drawing cows rather than milking them. PicPuzzles is a continuation of this, but now, instead of just drawing cows, he draws anything and everything.

After majoring in illustration having completed his Arts degree at Griffith University, Mark went to work in London for ITV Channel 4, doing the graphics for their teletext system.

When Mark returned to Australia he worked in the animation industry for 6 years, mainly with Walt Disney Animation Australia in Sydney. His film credits include, An Extremely Goofy Movie, The Little Mermaid 2, Lady and The Tramp 2, Peter Pan - Return To Neverland, The Jungle Book 2, Lion King 3, The 3 Mouseketeers, Lilo and Stitch 2.

This led to more animation for the TV series for The Disney Channel “The Proud Family”, A Powderfinger music single (Sunsets), a Warner Bros. Short featuring Bugs Bunny and Yosemite Sam.

Throughout this time he also worked as a freelance Illustrator/Cartoonist. Mark’s work has appeared in The Bulletin, DMag, K-Zone, Mania, Krash, Melbourne/Sydney/Brisbane Child, for the Department of Education and Training Queensland.

Mark’s children’s book “The Stinky Poo Grubs” is published by Koala Books and is available now, in Bookstores/K-mart/Myer. Three other children’s books, Miss Feline’s Unusual Pets, Harry the Hug Monster and Leonardo’s Spot of Trouble, all illustrated by Mark, are being published in 2010.
